Korean-American violinist Hayne Kim made her solo Carnegie Hall debut at the age 16 and has since performed internationally as a soloist and chamber musician. She has been a soloist with the Lasing Symphony Orchestra in her native Michigan, as well as the Tusiafestival Orchestra in Viterbo, Italy. As an ensemble player, she has performed in some of New York City's most beloved halls, such as Markin hall and Stern Auditorium, with NYC-based group Shattered Glass Ensemble and the International Chamber Soloist under the direction of Dmitri Berlinsky.
Hayne holds degrees from the Manhattan School of Music, where she was the recipient of the Vice President's Award, and Michigan State University. She has been trained under both the Galamian and Russian traditions of violin pedagogy by her teachers Lyman Bodman, Grigory Kalinovsky, and Dmitri Berlinsky. She joined the faculty of Princess Galyani Vadhana Institute of Music in July 2017.
